Update #1
3 Weeks Until 1st Race
By Kenny Johnson
12 Mar 2010
First
off, I want to apologize for not keeping my web site up to date the last half
of the 2009 season. With all of the transitioning that was taking place, I just
wasn’t up for updating it all. But to recap, I finished racing for Hassy
Chassis in June and Louie Krushansky and his team volunteered his back up car
so that we would keep racing. I believe I drove it 5 times and had mostly top 5
runs in it. In the meantime a deal was being worked out with my arch enemy, Jr.
Nolan. It was a deal that would allow us to race a new Shaw Chassis. So the
last half of the year we drove for 2 Brothers Motorsports and Shaw Chassis. We
picked up 2 more feature wins and several 2nd’s and 3rd’s. We improved
tremendously on slick tracks.
I want
to thank Tod Buckhalter at Hassy Chassis for several good years of racing and I
want to thank Jr. and Tommy Nolan of 2 Brothers Motorsports and Kevin Shaw of
Shaw Chassis for allowing me to come on board and be a part of their team. We
intend to run the same Shaw Chassis for 2010. It is nearly complete and will
soon be decal’ed and ready to race. I want to thank Billy Lloyd Racing Engines
and Kanawha Valley Maintenance for the efforts and support! Our support this
year will be 2 Brother’s Motorsports, Shaw Chassis, K-Graphics. Also receive
some help, whether it be in money or labor, Billy Joe and Wanda Hammett, the
Lemon Family, the Cooper Family, Jason Canepari and of course Dad and Mom.
Really anxious to get he season kicked off and hope to get several wins.
On Feb.
14th I asked Kim to marry me and she said yes. So it looks like on 10/10/10 we
will be getting married. She picked the date. I reminded her that racing season
is still going on. She informed me that is where she wants to be in years to
come on our anniversary. So everyone now knows and everyone can help remind her
of it. LOL
As of
now April 2nd is the first race and it will be at Skyline. Then April 3rd we
will be heading to Tyler County.
Remember!
To make this work, support those that support us! Thanks again for your support,
KJ
